May marks Foster Care Awareness Month, a time dedicated to honoring the strength, resilience, and dreams of foster youth.
This year is especially meaningful for us at Power to Soar Foundation: in 2025, we proudly celebrate 10 years of empowering foster youth pursuing a 4-year degree program. Our mission has been to change the statistics that only 2 – 9% of foster youth attending college graduate with a bachelor’s degree.
For a decade, we’ve witnessed the transformational power of opportunity. Through educational scholarships, critical need funds, legislative action, special projects and individualized support, together, we’ve helped >220 foster youth, overcome barriers in pursuit of their goals and become productive members of the society.
We could not have done this without you. It takes a community to drive a change forward.
